¹⁵ But if thy brother shall sin against thee, go, tell him his fault between thee and him alone; if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. ¹⁶ But if he will not hear, take with thee one of two more, that in the mouth of two or three every word may be established ¹⁷ And if he shall refuse to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he refuse to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man, and as a publican. ¹⁸ Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth, shall be bound in the heavens: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth, shall be loosed in the heavens. ¹⁹ Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in the heavens. ²⁰ There are not two or three gathered together in my name, but I am in the midst of them.

⁹ And he said unto them, Well do ye reject the commandment of God, that ye may confirm your own tradition! ¹⁰ For Moses said Honour thy father and mother: and, Whoso curseth father or mother, let him die the death. ¹¹ But ye say, If a man shall say to his father, or mother, [It is] Corban, that is, a gift, by whatsoever thou mightst be profited by me; ¹² Ye suffer him not to do ought for his father or mother: ¹³ Making the word of God of none effect through your foolish tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

¹ My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: ² And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for [those] of the whole world. ³ And hereby we know that we know him, if we keep his commandments. ⁴ He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, the truth is not in him. ⁵ But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him. ⁶ He that saith he abideth in him, ought himself also to walk, even as he walked. ⁷ Beloved, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning: the old cmmandment is the word which ye have heard. ⁸ Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in us: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. ⁹ He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. ¹⁰ He that loveth his brother, abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. ¹¹ But he that hateth his brother, is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. ¹² I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake. ¹³ I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I have written unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father. ¹⁴ I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one. ¹⁵ Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of God is not in him. ¹⁶ For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world, ¹⁷ And the world passeth away, and its lust: but he that doeth the will of God, abideth for ever. ¹⁸ Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye have heard antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour. ¹⁹ They went out from us, but they were not of us: for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us; but that they might be made manifest, that they were not all of us. ²⁰ But ye have an unction from the holy One, and ye know all things. ²¹ I have not written unto you, because ye know not the truth: but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth. ²² Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? he is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. ²³ Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father; He that acknowledged the Son, hath the Father also. ²⁴ Let that abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning, shall abide in you, ye also shall abide in the Son, and in the Father. ²⁵ And this is the promise that he hath promised us, eternal life. ²⁶ These things have I written unto you, concerning them that seduce you. ²⁷ But the anointing which ye have received of him, abideth in you: and ye need not that any man teach you: But, as the same anointing teacheth you concerning all things, and is truth, and is no lie: as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him. ²⁸ And now, little children, abide in him; that if he shall appear, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before him at his coming. ²⁹ If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one also that doeth righteousness, is born of him.

¹ But speak thou the things which bcome sound doctrine: ² That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience: ³ The aged women likewise, that [they be] in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; ⁴ That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, ⁵ [To be] discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. ⁶ Young men likewise exhort to be sober-minded. ⁷ In all things shewing thy self a pattern of good works: in doctrine, gravity, sincerity, ⁸ Sound Speech that cannot be condemned; that he that is of the contrary part, may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say of us. ⁹ Ye servants be obedient unto your own masters, please them well in all things; not answering again, ¹⁰ Neither purloining, but shewing all good fidelity; that they may adorn the doctrine of God our Saviour in all things. ¹¹ For the grace of God that bringeth salvation, hath appeared to all men: ¹² Teaching us, that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world; ¹³ Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God, and our Saviour Jesus Christ: ¹⁴ Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. ¹⁵ These things speak and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee.

¹ Rebuke not an elder, but intreat [him] as a father, the younger men as brethren;

¹ Children, obey your parents: for this is right.

¹ The elders therefore who are among you I exhort, who am a fellow elder, and a witness of the sufferings of Christ, and also a partaker of the glory that shall be revealed: ² Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight not by constraint, but willingly according to God, not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind; ³ Neither as being lords over the clergy; but being ensamples to the flock. ⁴ And when the chief Shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive a crown of glory that fadeth not away. ⁵ Likewise ye younger, submit your selves unto the elder: yea, and all one with another, be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. ⁶ Humble your selves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in the time of visitation. ⁷ Casting all your Care upon him, for he careth for you. ⁸ Be sober, be vigilant; Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about seeking whom he may devour. ⁹ Whom resist stedfast in the faith; knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the World. ¹⁰ But the God of all Grace, who hath called you unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, will make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle [you]. ¹¹ To him [be] dominion for ever and ever. Amen, ¹² By Silvanus a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying, that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. ¹³ She who is co-elect in Babylon, saluteth you, and Marcus my son. ¹⁴ Greet ye one another with a kiss of charity. Peace [be] with you all that are in Christ.

¹ Children, obey your parents: for this is right. ² Honour thy father and mother, which is the first commandment, with promise, ³ That it may be well with thee, and thou mayst live long on the earth. ⁴ And ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
